Notes on Filing your Virginia Articles of Incorporation:

The name of your business must end in a corporate ending proper to your entity type; that name must be available for use in Virginia. It’s a good idea to do a business name search before submitting your Articles of Incorporation to determine if your chosen name is available.

Your corporation cannot serve as its own Registered Agent. Another, already existing, Virginia corporation can serve as your Registered Agent, or an individual with a physical Virginia address. If you do not have a physical address in Virginia, Click and Inc can provide you with a Registered Agent for a low annual fee.

Your Articles can only be filed with payment of the Filing and Charter fees. Your Charter fee is, by default, based on 1,000,000 or fewer authorized shares. If you wish to have a higher number of authorized shares, your Charter fee will go up.
